March already??!!!

My gosh, it amazes me how time flies; March already and not s single post yet for this year! Well, my excuse is that we have been very busy with the move to the new place...(yes, I hear the comments of "What, moving again?!!")

Well, what can we say, but that God has been incredibly generous in how He has blessed us. We are truly amazed by how He works; we have been praying for almost a year for a new place, since we felt that the old one is a little small for ministry (we couldn't fit the youth leaders comfortably into the house), and also we were a little concerned about the fact that the house was a 99 year leasehold.

After much prayer and consideration, we began looking for a new house; like I always say, God has a sense of humour; we wanted to find a house before we decided to sell. We looked for almost a year, but still couldn't THE house. Out of the blue, we got a call from an agent who asked if we wanted to sell our place. The price offered was something that took us by surprise, and made us think very seriously about it. Again, we prayed, and we asked God that if He wanted us to sell, then He would show us THE house. Guess what...yup, we found THE house that same week, and we bought and sold our old house and new house respectively, in the space of 24 hours (after looking for a year!)

We moved in over the last weekend, and truth be told, it has not all been smooth sailing. Hot water does not work, water pressure is not great,and renovations are not completed as yet, so we do not have cupboards to unpack into, which is a bit of a pain. If you can imagine living in the midst of boxes, whilst there are still workmen running around the house, you have a pretty good idea of what we are going through. Worse, we do not have a kitchen yet!! (For those who know us well, you can feel the pain....)

Unfortunately, we lost a couple of weeks work over Chinese New Year, so the works took a little longer than we had, as we had to hand over the house. Nevertheless, even in the midst of the frustration of moving, and not being able to find stuff (and yes, losing house keys!!), we thank God for each other, for good friends who offer their help cheerfully (thanks Peter, Tim and Chen Long!!)

We look forward to what God can use this house for, and it is our prayer that all who walk through these doors will be ministered by God's presence. We are excited to see what God has in store for our ministry in this house. To have a feel for the house, here are the before photos (haven't had time to take the after photos yet!).
